Welcome to week #2 of the Ejazz News Weekly Musis Sampler.

This is one of the last dates Bickert participated in before retiring. Pianist Don Thompson is caught in rare trio setting with a sumptous take on the popular 'Manhattan.' Some organic bebop al la Cannonball Adderley from west coast alto saxophonist Campbell Ryga. The contemporary duo of Jon & Lynn cover the pop friendly 'Never My Love.' The jazz collective - the Jazz Report All -Stars sail through the John Cheesman arrangement of John Coltrane's 'Moment's Notice'. An uptempo ride with vocalist June Garber with saxophnist Mike Murley and trumpeter William Sperandei on 'Bye, Bye' Blues and many other gems.
