Jazz Festivals 3rd annual Canadian Guitar Festival

The 3rd annual Canadian Guitar Festival once again takes to the stage with many homegrown and international guitarists. Some performers include 2005 Juno Award winner and three-time nominee Robert Michaels; East Coast Music Award winner J.P. Cormier; Artist of the Year 2000 and 2002 from the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Duane Andrews; Italian virtuoso Pino Forastiere; Norwegian song- writer Kerstin Blodig; Scotland’s Ian Melrose; Canadian-based singer/songwriter Andrew White from New Zealand, American virtuoso Michael Chapdelaine - the only guitarist ever to win First Prize in the world's top competitions in both the Classical and Fingerstyle genres; and Canadian legend Don Ross who has been touring with the “Men of Steel” whom have just released their newest CD: four way mirror. On the final day, up to 24 undiscovered players will compete for the title of Canadian Finger Style Guitar Champion and prizes worth over $12,000 dollars.
