A nice neat swingin' Hammond B3 trio featuring jazz guitarist Jason Campbell & friends...Campbell plays his ax with a full toned lyrical style reminiscent of Wes Montgomery, flourishing on swing tunes from our great American Songbook. Campbell & co. ply us with a combination of bebop & straight ahead jazz, New Orleans swing, & some West African influences...All filtered through a contemporary jazz bent. All in all, the group's interplay results in a certain smooth textural density in their ensemble work which I can only describe as unusual & adventurous. Nice work guys!
